Cosmixxology R&D
Formulation, ingredient safety and hair-science team
R&D
We are the team that builds the formulas behind every Cosmixxology scan and writes the explainers on this site. Our job is to turn what the scan sees — porosity, moisture, elasticity, scalp condition — into an ingredient list that makes sense for that hair, and to say plainly why each ingredient is there.
We write the way we formulate: natural-first, evidence over folklore, and honest about what a phone camera can and cannot tell you.
How we research and review
- Every article cites its sources. We prefer peer-reviewed reviews, regulator opinions (FDA, EU SCCS) and the Cosmetic Ingredient Review over blogs and brand claims.
- Articles carry a published date and an updated date. We revise when the evidence or our formulas change.
- Nothing here is medical advice. Scalp disease, sudden hair loss and persistent irritation need a dermatologist, and our articles say so.
- Corrections: email hello@cosmixxology.com with the article URL and what you think is wrong.
