Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 2026-05-01
Cosmixxology, Inc. is committed to making cosmixxology.com and our mobile applications usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We see accessibility as part of building a high-quality product, not an afterthought.
1. Standard
We aim to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. WCAG explains how to make content more accessible to people with vision, hearing, mobility, and cognitive disabilities. We also align with the requirements of Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.
2. What we have done
- Semantic HTML, with landmarks, headings, and ARIA labels where they add clarity beyond native semantics.
- Visible focus states on all interactive elements; full keyboard operability.
- Alt text for informative images; decorative images marked as such.
- Form labels associated with controls; inline error messages announced to assistive technology.
- Color is not the sole means of conveying information; we test against WCAG AA contrast ratios.
- Skip-to-content link for screen-reader and keyboard users.
- Respect for users'
prefers-reduced-motionsystem setting.
3. Known limitations
We are aware that some areas of the site still need work. We are actively addressing:
- Contrast in some marketing surfaces with white text on dark gradients.
- The interactive ingredient explorer, which currently has limited keyboard support.
- Long PDF reports, which are not yet tagged for screen readers.
4. Compatibility
We test against current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari) and assistive technologies (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver). Older browsers and earlier assistive-technology versions may not provide a complete experience.
5. Feedback & help
If you have trouble using any part of the Services, or if you would like to report an accessibility barrier, contact us:
- Email: accessibility@cosmixxology.com
- Mail: Cosmixxology, Inc., 2911 Vega Street, Houston, Texas 77088
We aim to respond within five business days. If you need information from our site in an alternative format, please tell us what you need and we will do our best to deliver it.
6. Continuous improvement
We perform automated accessibility scans on every release and conduct manual audits at least twice a year. We also welcome external audits and remediation suggestions from the disability community.
